INTRODUCTION:

In competitive business environments, digital strategies and organizational transformation go hand in hand. That is, for organizations having a robust digital strategy to benefit from the advancements of emerging digital technologies and simultaneously making necessary transformations have become vital for their survivals.  According to MIT Sloan's Center for Information Systems Research (CISR), "In this period of digital disruption, businesses focused narrowly on value chains are at a disadvantage. Next-generation enterprises need to think more broadly about their business ecosystems, leverage digitization to understand their customers better, and establish options for future success. Drawing on cutting-edge research, this course engages participants in a framework for seizing on all the above". Therefore, competitive businesses have started using varieties of digital tools such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, Block-chains, and other digital applications to make required changes to organizational models, and cultures to better serve their customers in efficient and effective manners.



OBJECTIVE:

The objective of this book is to publish high quality original research based book chapters contributing to theories, foundations and empirical studies of digital strategies and organizational transformation. It aims to enhance the body of knowledge by providing theoretical insights into digital strategies and organizational transformation processes in business (private) and government (public) organizations planning to improve their competitive advantage in today's global business ecosystem.

This book will be a collection of edited original chapters describing the digital strategies and how they go hand in hand with organizational transformation. We will solicit book chapters from the well-known academics from universities, business leaders, and experts within businesses and government organizations to contribute chapters to this book.

Therefore, this book will include chapters related to digital strategies and organizational transformations. The majority of its chapters will examine the necessary relationships between these two critical issues. Specifically, this book will discuss how to infuse new knowledge into ongoing discourse and debates within academia and business organizations regarding digital strategies, and organizational changes, how to accomplish seamless integration of digital tools and applications into organizational platforms and to accomplish the required organizational changes smoothly. Finally, to create competitive advantage, the leadership organizations must address the challenging's of formulating and implementing robust digital strategies and simultaneously make the required organizational changes.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
The primary audience of this book will be academics, government organizations and business leaders, managers, policy makers, and strategic planners who intend to understand emerging digital technologies and develop and execute digital strategies and organizational transformation.

This book also intended to be useful for technology professional and graduate students in business, strategic management, and information technology fields.  Other professionals in governments, business, and consulting can benefit this book by gaining knowledge to enhance their understanding of theoretical and technical foundations, digital technologies, and digital strategies and organizational changes.
