Dear Colleagues,
Please consider submitting a paper to BIGS 2021 this year. As a post-ICIS workshop, (BIGS) 2021 will take place as a virtual workshop in the central time zone of Austin, Texas on December 16, 2021. The workshop is organized with two separate tracks: Practice and Academic. Sessions in Practice Track will consist of practical panels and discussions by industry experts and policymakers whereas sessions in Academic Track are directed toward academia and will feature presentation of rigorous research. Both AIS and non-AIS members are welcome to all sessions.
This call for papers is for the academic track and we invite original research articles addressing broad coverage of technical, managerial, economic, and policy solutions towards developing the Bright Internet and Trust. An emphasis on the application of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, NLP, Quantum computing, and others for preventive cybersecurity measures and global trust-building is preferred. Papers may employ any applicable IS research method (case study, survey, analytical modeling, experiments, computational models, design science, and so forth). Both tracks will be presented in cooperation with the AIS Special Interest Group on Information Security and Privacy (SIGSEC). Information on BIGS 2021 can be found at http://brightinternet.org/. Please refer to the important dates below and additional information on BIGS 2021 can be found at http://brightinternet.org/.
The panel sessions for the practice track will provide an interactive forum by bringing together leading academics, practitioners, and policymakers to discuss the critical issues of today's internet environment and possible means and business models to realize the next generation of a trusted and safe and bright internet.
