Water scarcity is a critical factor in our world. Climate change will influence specific facets of water scarcity in basin-level water resources, such as water quality and green water availability. There is science embedded in Indigenous traditional knowledge about the climate. Some prior research results showed that integrating Indigenous knowledge and modern forecasting systems could improve the prediction efficiency of climate change. This workshop combines scientific and Indigenous knowledge about water, the ecosystem, and humans’ place. The workshop includes a series of seminars with an interactive showcase of Augmented Reality (AR)/Mixed Reality (XR) activities. The activities will be focused on Indigenous cultural revitalization through mixing emerging information technologies such as 2D/3D animation, gamification, and robotics with tangible objects to simulate the elements in climate and water.
