The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applications for two full time, open rank, tenure track faculty positions in the Information Technology (IT) area beginning August 2022. We seek applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences and academic rank will be commensurate with experience. We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all people and welcome diversity in all forms.
Candidates must have completed a PhD degree in Information Systems or a related discipline by the start date of the appointment. Candidates at the Assistant Professor rank must demonstrate potential of progressing to a record of strong research, teaching, and service. The strongest candidates will show evidence of excellence in research including publications in A-level journals or a growing high-potential pipeline and demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching IT-related topics at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, possess practical business experience, and show potential to make significant internal service contributions.
Candidates at the Associate and Full Professor rank should have a solid and progressive record of teaching, research, and service. The strongest candidates will have published articles in A-level journals, exhibit excellence in teaching IT-related topics at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, possess practical business experience, and present a strong record of internal service contributions.
Candidates with expertise in contemporary research practices and topics are highly preferred as well as scholars whose research has potential synergies with current McIntire faculty.
