The Department of Management Science and Information Systems at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Supply Chain and Analytics, beginning September 1, 2022.



Candidates must have a completed doctorate in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a closely related field prior to the date of appointment. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated potential to conduct research and publish in high quality peer-reviewed journals. The candidate will have a demonstrated potential and commitment to effective teaching in graduate and undergraduate courses.



The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain an active research agenda and publish in high-quality related journals. Responsibilities of the position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in areas including Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Service Operations Management, Optimization, and Business Analytics. Industry experience is a plus. The successful candidate will also contribute in promoting the supply chain and business analytics programs and build industry connections. This position will have a major role in our bachelor and graduate programs. The candidate is also expected to interact effectively with a culturally diverse population of students and colleagues.
