Dear Colleagues,

I would like to cordially invite you to participate in the 2021 Virtual Digital Futures Conference, co-hosted by Case Western Reserve University and Innovation Research Interchange (IRI), from October 11 - 14. This is the third time that Case is partnering with IRI, which is one of the oldest and largest industry associations of traditional legacy industrial firms. Their members recognize the importance of digital transformation, and each year we organize DFC to provide insights from industries and academics.

This year's conference will feature keynote speakers from GE digital, Nestle, and NASA who will speak about their organization's digital transformation experiences and challenges that they have to overcome. There are additional sessions that feature emerging technologies that are beginning to be used in the industry.

We are particularly excited to announce that we are launching a global digital-first maturity study. The study is led and coordinated by a group of colleagues including Nick Berente (Norte Dame, USA), Robert Gregory (Univ. of Miami, USA), Johann Kranz (LMU, Germany), Joe Nandhakumar (Warwick Business School, UK), Dong-Heon Kwak (Kent State University, USA), and Jonny Holmström (Umeå University, Sweden). At the conference, we will work with industry participants to design, validate and refine the model with a plan to launch a global benchmarking study in spring 2022. We plan to share the framework and the preliminary results at this year's ICIS during the SIG DITE annual meeting.

You can find more about the conference at https://www.iriweb.org/events/digital-futures-2021/. We have an academic rate available at $195. For those who want to register with the academic code, please contact Stacey Manz (stacey.manz at case.edu).

Cordially,

Youngjin Yoo
