Are you interested in conducting cutting-edge scholarly research in Information Technology management, strategy, and design, that tackles real-world business problems, societal challenges, and policy/regulatory considerations? Consider a full time doctoral degree in Information Systems (IS) at Baruch College. We will have a Virtual open house on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 9:00am -12:00pm. There will be opportunities to ask questions and e-meet with faculty to discuss the program.

Our full-time doctoral program is designed to equip you with a strong foundation and methodological rigor in state-of-the-art research practice in areas including data analytics, cybersecurity, and FinTech, among others. Our program welcomes students with strong analytical and critical thinking skills and cultivates them to become productive scholars in the IS field through a combination of rigorous coursework, hands-on research projects, and individualized faculty mentoring. As a doctoral student in our program, you will conduct original research and will be encouraged to publish in scholarly journals and present at international and national conferences. We will help you develop your teaching skills and expand your classroom experience to allow you to grow into a successful faculty member. Most students complete their doctoral studies in 4-5 years. Students admitted to the doctoral program receive full funding i.e. a full tuition scholarship and a graduate assistantship (e.g. research, teaching, etc.) for the duration of their studies. Additional funding opportunities may be available for minority applicants.

Our department's faculty, with whom you will be working closely, conduct research in wide ranging topics, from cybersecurity, multi-tasking, technology policy, and sourcing strategies to the role of analytics and machine learning in areas of fake news, crowdfunding, managerial decision-making, healthcare and publish in top research journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems among others.

Our program's graduates have gone on to become prolific faculty members at leading institutions including University of Warwick (UK), Carnegie Mellon University, Rutgers University, Quinnipiac University, Montclair State University, University of North Florida, and Hofstra University among others.
