The Department of Management Information Systems in the Terry College of Business at The University
of Georgia invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty position at the lecturer level,
beginning August 2022 to teach classes at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Candidates should have earned their Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related discipline from an
AACSB accredited university or international equivalent by August 1, 2022. Candidates should also have
demonstrated an ability to teach "Intro to IS" or "System Analysis and Design" at the undergraduate or
graduate level and should have successfully taught at least two classes in the past four years in one or
both of these areas. Ability to teach in the areas of FinTech or Business Process Management will be
considered a plus. The normal teaching load is eight, 3-credit classes per academic year. Participation in
the life of the department, e.g., committee membership, is expected of all faculty.
The position is subject to annual renewal based on performance, and promotion to Senior Lecturer is

The Management Information Systems Department offers the following degrees: an on-campus Ph.D.,
an online Master of Business & Technology, an on-campus BBA in MIS, and an on-campus FinTech
certificate. In addition, the Terry College of Business offers an on-campus MBA degree, an on-campus
Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA), and off-campus Executive/Professional MBA degrees.
The Management Information Systems Department is consistently ranked highly nationally and
internationally for both its programs and its scholarly productivity. Faculty hold editorial positions at the
premier information systems journals, and current and emeritus faculty include multiple AIS Fellows and
AIS Leo Award winners.
The University of Georgia is the State of Georgia's flagship university, located in historic Athens, sixty
