The Department of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management at Wright
State University invites applications for a tenure-track opening at the
rank of Assistant Professor. Pending institutional approval, the
anticipated start date for the position is August 2022. We are seeking a
candidate with specializations in the fields of supply chain management,
logistics, service operations, and operations analytics. Applicants must
have a Ph.D. (or equivalent) in supply chain, operations management, or a
closely related field anticipated by the start date. The successful
candidate will have a demonstrated potential for excellence in scholarship
and teaching. As such, evidence of a promising scholarly career and of
strong performance as a teacher will be the characteristics of a preferred
applicant.
This position has teaching, research, and service requirements as outlined
in the AAUP-WSU collective bargaining agreement (CBA). The successful
candidate must be prepared to teach both undergraduate and master’s level
courses, including online courses. The ideal candidate is expected to
develop an active scholarly agenda that produces high impact, managerially
relevant, and empirical research to be published in peer-reviewed scholarly
publications on a continuing basis. The candidate should be willing to
provide departmental, college, university, and community service. Salary
will be commensurate with AACSB accredited business school norms.
