I received this email that says to click on a link and download an app to prove I am vaccinated for ICIS. To me it looks like a phishing scam for a couple of reasons. Of course it is an unsolicited email that says click here to download, which probably one should never do. It was sent presumably by a group of people (AIS) that knows you should never click here to download an app. And I think requiring proof of vaccine is illegal in Texas (you can double check me on that one: it is Senate Bill 968 and just a few weeks ago Executive order GA 40).
So if I receive an unsolicited email telling me to click here to download something that is probably illegal, I am not going to do so.
If this was actually legitimate maybe some AIS executives could post here. Also, you might want to look into the law so that AIS does not get into trouble.
I am fully vaccinated and boosted, so I agree with the idea of presenting proof, but ICIS is in Texas and I don't make the laws.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
