The Information Systems Department at IESE Business School<https://www.iese.edu/faculty-research/academic-departments/information-systems> is inviting applications for one or more tenure-track junior (Assistant Professor) or mid-career (Associate Professor) positions, starting September 2022 (subject to final approval from the university). We are looking for candidates with a strong interest to develop as research and teaching active faculty. We seek highly qualified candidates with 1) the potential to conduct high-quality research targeted at top tier journals and 2) an aspiration to excel at teaching at the Master in Management, MBA/EMBA, and Executive Education levels.

IESE Business School has been ranked #1 in the world<https://www.ft.com/content/36c1e468-8f2b-11ea-9e12-0d4655dbd44f> for Executive Education by the Financial Times for the last six years. In addition, the school has consistently ranked among the top global MBA and Executive MBA programs. The school has campuses in Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, New York, and São Paulo. The Information Systems Department is based in Barcelona, with the position being based in Barcelona (with the possibility of being located in Madrid). For more information about the school, visit www.iese.edu<http://www.iese.edu/>.

Research conducted by the department faculty focuses on understanding the emerging and continually evolving impact of digital technologies on sustainable management practices, business models, individuals, industries and society, using a variety of theoretical lenses and methodological approaches. Specific topics include the impact of digitalization on business models, digital business strategy and organizational challenges in managing digital transformation, crowdsourcing, platforms and ecosystems, digital entrepreneurship, organizational implications of emerging technologies (IoT, big data, blockchain), consumerization, human-computer interaction, as well as collective and artificial intelligence.

We seek individuals who can strengthen and extend the research focus of the group. We particularly encourage candidates focusing on the areas of analytics (in the context of organizations), risk management and responsible use of IS, open source, and digital ledger technologies to apply. The environment is highly collaborative; cross-departmental and interdisciplinary research projects are common and highly encouraged. For more information about the current IESE faculty and their research, see http://www.iese.edu/en/faculty-research.

We have set ambitious goals to strengthen our footprint in the research community in the upcoming years. To date, we have published in leading academic journals such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Management Science, Journal of Management, and Journal of Management Studies, as well as practitioner outlets such as MIT Sloan Management Review and the Communications of the ACM. Members of our department have senior editorial roles at journals such as Information Systems Journal and Information and Organization.

Qualifications: doctorate degree in information systems and management, or any business discipline if the research has a strong emphasis on digital technology and its impact on people, organizations, and markets. The degree must be completed or near completion.

We will be conducting virtual interviews on a rolling basis, as well as initial in-person interviews at ICIS2021. To be considered for an interview, please email a cover letter and current CV to Ms. Chelo Gonzalez at CGonzalez at iese.edu<mailto:CGonzalez at iese.edu>; please also indicate whether you will attend ICIS in person.
