*Information Systems & Analytics:* Assistant Teaching Professor/Assistant
Lecturer will teach Business Information Systems and Analytics courses for
the First Year Integrated Core (FYIC) and other courses as assigned by the
FYIC Director or ISA Chair, advise students, and provide service to the
department and university.
The FYIC is an innovative four-course bundle of courses that focus on key
skills such as critical thinking, creative thinking, computational thinking
& coding, ethical thinking, communication, and collaboration. For more

*Required:* Master’s degree in Information Systems or a closely related
field by the time of appointment for appointment as an Assistant Lecturer
or a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a closely related field by the time of
appointment as an Assistant Teaching Professor. Candidates must have
related teaching experience, with demonstrated evidence of teaching
effectiveness. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
on a fulltime and indefinite basis.
Consideration may be given to candidates with experience teaching logical
thinking as an approach to problem solving through introductory programming
logic concepts especially to business students and those with prior course
or curriculum leadership responsibilities. Consideration may also be given
to candidates with multiple years of experience engaging with clients from
a variety of industries, organizations, and/or disciplines; experience
teaching professional skills (e.g. teamwork, project management, technical
writing, reproducibility, coding, verbal and written communication) to
students and/or colleagues; commitment to pedagogic innovation;
demonstrated enthusiasm for undertaking student-centered service
responsibilities such as academic and extracurricular advising; and/or
demonstrated enthusiasm for undertaking programmatic or departmental
service responsibilities.
