Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor (Tenure Track as Associate Professor)
In Design and management of AI-based systems in organizations
Starting on August 1st, 2022 or on a mutually agreed date.
Candidates must hold a PhD in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline. They should have an excellent research and publication record in the field of Management of Information Systems (MIS) with a clear interest in the design and development of AI-based systems in organizations, but also in researching the managerial implications of AI and its innovation potential. We seek applicants with a proven ability to conduct top-research in the field, to publish in leading international IS journals and conferences and the capacity to attract research funds.
Candidates should have teaching experience at university level (Bachelor and Master). A good command of French and English is desirable. For non-French speaking candidates, a period of adaptation (two years) to teaching in French is expected.
In line with the strategy of the Faculty, preference will be given to candidates who do research and teach on topics connected to area of AI and digital work, application areas of AI in business, or AI-based innovation and product design.
The new professor will be a member of the Information Systems Department<http://www.hec.unil.ch/isi/home> at HEC Lausanne. She/He is expected to play an active role in the development of our Master programs in Information Systems (MSc IS) and take over responsibility in the Department. Excellence in teaching and research is very important for us. Members of the department have published in top tier IS journals such as MISQ, JAIS, JMIS, JSIS and many more. We offer attractive teaching loads and an excellent research environment.
