Short term (up to 6 month) PostDoc Research Opportunity on Process Mining

As part of a project with one of our industry partners, we are looking for a Post Doctoral researcher interested to work on process mining and related topics. The project includes data analysis, process mining techniques for process discovery (extracting process models from event logs), visualization  and process extension (extending models based on event logs). The project is part of the Business Informatics Group at the Innovation Value Institute (www.ivi.ie<http://www.ivi.ie>) @ Maynooth University.

Interested Postdocs will be hosted at Maynooth University and should meet the following requirements:

  *   a solid background in Computer Science or Information Systems with an interest in process mining;
  *   knowledge of data mining, machine learning, process analytics, predictive analytics, and/or Big Data.
  *   a relevant PhD (completed)
  *   Excellent communicative skills in English, both in speaking and in writing;
  *   Moreover, we aim to realize research ideas in terms of prototype software, so software development skills are needed.
  *   availability to start shortly/immediate (also in form of a paid secondment/research visitor)

The project is of high practical relevance, with the opportunity for a project and research extension (subject to funding). It is also an excellent opportunity to enhance the skills in a practical environment for a career in both academia and/or industry.
