Job Summary:
Position: The School of Management at the University of San Francisco is
accepting applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in the Department
of Business Analytics and Information Systems.

The business world is in a time of great change, with the analytics
revolution driving the transformation of all aspects of business. The San
Francisco Bay Area is at the epicenter of these changes, and here at USF we
have a great opportunity – and responsibility – to prepare our students to
thrive in this world.

Person: We seek an individual excited about teaching undergraduate and
graduate business students, conducting high-quality research, and being an
active part of a dynamic community of teachers and scholars. We prefer to
add a colleague with leadership skills who is interested in helping us grow
and develop innovative programs to serve the University and the broader
community.

Full Job Description:

*Teaching*: Candidates must demonstrate strong potential for teaching
excellence along with a desire to work in a collaborative, team-teaching
setting. Skills in teaching operations management, information systems,
business analytics, and/or, programing are highly desirable.

*Business Context*: It is essential that the candidate be socialized to
business and have a strong understanding of how technical knowledge and
capabilities are used to create and communicate actionable managerial
insight to drive business outcomes. We strongly prefer candidates with
substantial relevant work experience and/or research directly related to
the practice of their discipline. The ideal candidate will be motivated to
participate in courses and programs that are closely aligned with current
and emerging business trends.

*Scholarship*: We seek teacher-scholars with a strong interest in research
that is grounded in business practice. We are particularly interested in
candidates with expertise in the use of data-driven analytics to drive
business process change. Candidates must demonstrate potential

for an active research agenda.

*Requirements for Position*: The successful candidate must have completed a
research doctorate in Operations Management, Information Systems,
Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Operations Research,
Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Economics, or a related field from an
accredited university. Applicants who are currently doctoral students must
be on course to complete all degree requirements by May 31, 2022.
