The Journal of Strategic Information Systems (JSIS) announces the appointment of three new Senior Editors. Such appointments are comparatively rare given our more specialized focus and flatter structure.
The first Senior Editor appointment we are pleased to announce is Professor Benoit Aubert, HEC Montreal, Canada, who commenced in the role 1 January 2022 https://www.hec.ca/en/profs/benoit.aubert.html . Yolande has worked closely with Benoit over the years, and particularly these past 3 years on AMCIS 2021, she as Conference co-Chair and Benoit as Program co-Chair. Guy first met Benoit in Wellington, New Zealand at a Rugby match between the All Blacks and Canada (Canada was thrashed ... in a gentlemanly way), where Benoit had then recently commenced as Head of School of Information Management, Victoria University of Wellington. Benoit's current research areas include: Outsourcing and offshoring, Risk management and governance, Digital transformation, platforms and new business models, and Innovation.
The second appointment we are much pleased to announce, is of Professor Jens Dibbern, University of Bern, Switzerland https://www.iwi.unibe.ch/about_us/people/prof_dr_dibbern_jens/index_eng.html. A member of the JSIS Editorial Board and heavily cited in JSIS, Jens too commenced as Senior Editor with JSIS 1 January 2022. Jens is Director of the Information Engineering Unit, at the Institute of Information Systems, University of Bern. His areas of research interest include IT-Outsourcing, Business Process Outsourcing, Offshoring, Enterprise Systems Software, Platform Ecosystems, and IT-Supported Collaboration.
The third appointment to SE is Associate Professor Saggi Nevo, School of Business, Information Systems and Business Analytics, University at Albany https://www.albany.edu/business/faculty/saggi-nevo. Saggi, a long-standing member of the JSIS Editorial Board, is author or co-author of several well-cited JSIS articles and has reviewed extensively for the Journal. His research interests include Business Value of IT, IS Satisfaction, Technology Adoption, Social Computing, Open Source Software, Post-Adoption, extending to more applied interests in Strategic Use of IT, IT Outsourcing, IT Development and Project Management.
