AMCIS 2022 Conference Theme: Innovative Research Informing Practice

DESCRIPTION

The concept of digital transformation emphasizes the use of technology to alter the firm's value proposition. This in turn necessitates various changes in the organization, including but not limited to business processes, strategies, approaches to governance and others. In the context of healthcare, digital transformation can entail novel approaches to delivering care driven by consumerism as well as the need to improve patient outcomes, including those related to patient-centered care or patient engagement.

This minitrack aims to develop a comprehensive view of how patient outcomes and healthcare experiences can be improved through digital transformation. Potential topics for this minitrack include those related to patient experience, care providers, payers, and other key entities in the healthcare value chain; strategic, managerial, and governance-related issues associated with digital transformation; cultural transformations impacted by healthcare IT that influence patient outcomes; and others.
