The Supply Chain & Information Systems (SC&IS) Department of the Smeal College of Business at The Pennsylvania State University (University Park, PA) invites applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor position in Information Systems & Business Analytics for a Fall 2022 start date. Salary is competitive.
Candidates must have a terminal degree (granted by the appointment/start date) in Information Systems/Business Analytics or a related field.
The SC&IS Department offers degree programs in supply chain management, information systems, and business analytics. The department comprises a vibrant, research-active faculty with research and teaching interests that traverse the end-to-end supply chain and includes information systems, data analytics, business logistics, sourcing, manufacturing, and service operations. Recently the department launched a master's degree program in business analytics (https://mban.smeal.psu.edu<https://mban.smeal.psu.edu/>).
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate expertise in information systems broadly and in business analytics that would complement the faculty with high-quality teaching in student-centered and collaborative learning environments, and in both online and in-person modes. Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and master level courses in information systems and engage in service to support the curriculum, programs and student experiences.
The Smeal College of Business offers a collegial working environment and excellent campus facilities. It is home to the Center for Supply Chain Research(r) (www.smeal.psu.edu/cscr<http://www.smeal.psu.edu/cscr>) which advances cutting-edge research and outreach in supply chain management. The SC&IS Department (www.smeal.psu.edu/scis<http://www.smeal.psu.edu/scis>) also has strong connections with the business community through various research centers that provide opportunities to interface with students and faculty across various disciplines within Smeal and across Penn State. This is a limited-term appointment funded for three years from the date of hire.
