The Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, Cameron School of Business invites applications for a full-time lecturer position in Information Systems to begin August 2022. This is a full-time non-tenure track position. The appointment is initially limited to one year, but renewal is anticipated. The successful candidate is expected to teach four sections per semester (fall/spring). Additional courses can be taught during the summer for extra compensation. Service expectations include promotion of department programs and participation in department events. Service expectations constitute no more than 10% of the position’s duties.  

A Master’s degree in Information Systems or a related area is required, as well as the ability to teach in the areas of introduction to information systems and at least three of the areas of data center management, network administration, IT infrastructure, and IT management. Both in-person and online teaching are expected, depending on departmental needs.

Candidates with a Ph.D. in Information Systems or a related area are preferred. Candidates should be proficient in face-to-face and online teaching for undergraduate students. Research is encouraged although not required.

The Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems is part of UNCW's Cameron School of Business and supports the B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Business Analytics, Information Systems, and Supply Chain Management, the B.S. in Information Technology, and the B.S. in Cybersecurity. At the graduate level, the school supports the MBA, M.S. in Computer Science and Information Systems, and M.S. in Business Analytics.
