Dear Colleagues:
We hope you are doing well.
Workshops are typically partial- or full-day sessions that facilitate
discussion and exploration of ideas, techniques, and methodologies that
advance research, teaching knowledge of IS-related concepts, or products
from industry and their application to academia, educational curricula, or
industry practice.
*AMCIS 2022 Workshops Call for Proposals*
In keeping with the AMCIS 2022 theme, “Innovative Research Informing
Practice”, our special focus for this conference is to recruit workshops
that focus on the innovative use of information technology in industry and
academia. We encourage sessions that support professional development for
IS academics, researchers, and practitioners.
Workshops are considered Pre-Conference activities and can be proposed as
2-hour, 4-hour, 6-hour or a full-day session on Wednesday, August 10. On
Thursday, August 11, 2-hour and 4-hour sessions. After you submit a
proposal, additional details that may need to be worked out will be handled
in a follow up discussion with the workshops committee.
*Important Dates:*
- *April 15, 2022*: Deadline for proposal submission
- *June 1, 2022*: Notification of acceptance

- Analysis of environmental or sustainability data for IS

- Smart energy, smart grid, and smart consumer solutions

- Writing, editing, and reviewing for IS-related journals
- Theory building in IS research
- Diffusing IS research to practitioner audiences
- Active learning in the IS classroom
- Blended and online learning in IS education
- Information security and information security management
- Gamification of work, commerce, and education
- Enterprise architectures

submission template
