*PACIS 2022 Junior Faculty Consortium*

The PACIS Junior Faculty Consortium aims to orientate junior IS faculty in,
but not limited to, the Pacific-Asia Region (AIS Region 3) to advance their
career in the region and beyond. The Consortium is designed to prepare
junior faculty for the road ahead to leverage opportunities, avoid
pitfalls, plan for their desired career path, and understand the
expectations of the IS field and community as well as the key stakeholders,
including the local communities, the university management, and the
academic ecosystem.

At the Consortium, a group of senior IS scholars from universities around
the world will serve as mentors to Consortium participants. The Consortium
includes panel discussions and group interactions, covering diverse topics
(e.g., career planning, meeting tenure criteria, satisfying publication
requirements, networking opportunities and strategies, navigating
work-family balance, etc.). In the pandemic and post-pandemic times, the
issues of how your career may be affected and what adjustments are needed
are also relevant topics for discussion.
