This specialized faculty position provides professional leadership of
assessment processes, including systematic and strategic planning and
assessment of curriculum and learning outcomes. Oversees and contributes to
the strategic vision for accreditation and reporting processes and
activities and supervises data collection and analysis.

Specific responsibilities may include:

1.     Develop and maintain relationships around the university to enhance
data sources. Provides assessment information to the University leadership
to assist with institutional decision making in alignment with strategic
planning. As directed, disseminates findings to appropriate stakeholders.
Responsible for the creation of an on-going assessment schedule and process
for each program and certificate. Monitors and coordinates calendars and
schedules related to assessment, internal and external reporting.

2.     Coordinate assessment of major and certificate programs and
supervise data collection and analysis staff. Provide guidance,
professional development, and training for staff and faculty on unit level
assessment processes.

3.     Work with EDI program coordinator to ensure equity, diversity, and
inclusion in curricular content and pedagogy. Build effective,
collaborative relationships with a diverse population of faculty, staff and
students, as well as external governing bodies, organizations, and similar
institutions to continuously advance the value of assessment.

4.     Remain competent and current in research and analysis of curricular
assessment processes through professional reading and development.

5.     Teaches one course per semester as assigned.

Education:  Ph.D. in Information, LIS or other doctoral degree in
Instructional Systems/Design, or in a related field with graduate course
work in Instructional Systems/Design.

Experience:  At least 2 years in curriculum assessment and management or
institutional data governance or management; and evidence of progressive
development in educational leadership.

About the School of Information

The School of Information is one of three academic units within the College
of Communication and Information at Florida State University. The FSU
iSchool offers a Bachelor's degree program with majors in Information
Technology (IT) and Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT);
Master's degree programs in Information Technology and Information; a
post-Master's Specialist degree in Information; and a Ph.D. degree in
Information. The iSchool faculty also operate the iSensor Lab, the Detour
Lab, the E-Health Lab, and are founding partners in FSU's Innovation Hub
(Hub), an innovation center and fab lab/makerspace for teaching and
research with technologies including 3D printing and 3D visualization.

The School of Information began in 1926, was formally founded in 1947, and
is nationally ranked among the top information science graduate schools in
the country. The iSchool's Information Technology Masters' program is
nationally ranked at #6 among graduate IT programs, and the ALA-accredited
Master's in Information is ranked among U.S. News & World Report's Best
Graduate Programs in Library and Information Science at 11th overall, 3rd
in Youth Services, and 1st in School Library Media.

School of Information faculty have been awarded over $50 million in
federal, state, local, and foundation research grants, and maintain a
strong connection to the community through various literacy and service
