Dear Colleagues,
The Business Process Optimization workshop will be held on September 12, 2022, in conjunction with the International BPM Conference. The theme of the workshop lies at the intersection of Business Process Management and Operations Research.
The workshop's primary aim is to solve business process optimization problems, by combining data-driven techniques, such as data mining or process mining, with optimization techniques, such as job-shop scheduling or supply chain optimization. Examples of such combinations include:
- using process mining to predict the future states of a process, then using job-shop scheduling to assign tasks to resources for those future states;
- mining nurse and doctor schedules in such a way that they can be used effectively in hospital ward optimization; and
- creating specialized mining techniques for supply chain processes that can demonstrably be used in supply chain optimization algorithms.
You are invited to participate in one of the following ways:
1. You can submit an abstract of work that you would like to present at the workshop.
2. You can submit a full paper of work that you both want to present at the workshop and want to appear in the proceedings of the workshop, which will be published by Springer.
3. You can simply register to attend the workshop on Monday 12 September in Münster castle, Germany.
