The School of Information Systems and Management at the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida (USF) is searching for an outstanding candidate to fill a non-tenure faculty position in the area of Business Analytics and Information Systems at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor of Instruction. Candidates must have a doctorate degree in information systems, analytics, or a related field from an AACSB accredited institution or equivalent and preferably have evidence of meeting AACSB faculty qualification requirements. Candidates who will successfully complete all requirements for the doctorate degree by July 1, 2022, including final dissertation defense, may also apply.

Preference will be given to candidates who can teach and develop core and elective courses in the MS in Business Analytics and Information Systems (BA&IS) program, possessing a track record or a willingness to undertake activities in support of student success initiatives, have practical or professional experience in FinTech, have a track record and sustained interest in research related to analytics and information systems, and/or have academic experience in teaching analytics or information systems such as Database, Big Data, Data Mining, Data Science Programming, Data Analytics for Business, and Managerial Decision Analysis related courses at the undergraduate or graduate level from an AACSB accredited institution.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):

Minimum Qualifications: Terminal degree from an accredited institution in the field of specialization or equivalent qualifications based on professional experience that meet national and/or regional accreditation standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

  *   Candidates will complete all requirements for the terminal degree by July 1, 2022, including final dissertation defense.
  *   Evidence that the candidate can meet and sustain AACSB faculty qualification requirements.
  *   Experience with teaching and developing core and elective courses in Business Analytics and Information Systems program at the graduate level.
  *   A track record or a willingness to undertake activities in support of student success initiatives. A track record or willingness to undertake research related to analytics and information systems.
  *   Practical or professional background with experience in Financial Technology (FinTech).
  *   Experience with teaching analytics or information systems related courses such as Data Mining, Data Science Programming, Data Analytics for Business, and Managerial Decision Analysis at the undergraduate and graduate level at an AACSB accredited institution
