Assistant/Associate Professor in AI for Healthcare Systems

Looking for a position that focuses on the design and application of AI for re-shaping healthcare systems, balancing organizational and technical aspects?
TU Delft (Netherlands) invites applications for an assistant / associate professor in AI for Healthcare Systems. The position is established within the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) section. The ICT section is a fast-growing group, driven by interdisciplinary collaboration. Our research relates to data and AI (e.g. Edge AI, blockchain, platforms, and responsible analytics). Application areas include digital healthcare, connected vehicles, digital infrastructures, and digital public services. We take an architecting and engineering perspective, considering how new technological paradigms fit in a complex constellation of stakeholders and technologies.

This new position focuses on the design and application of AI for re-shaping healthcare systems, balancing organizational and technical aspects. For instance: creating new designs or architectures to apply AI (or related technologies) in healthcare systems, or new methods to design and engineer such solutions. Solutions could address a sub-part of the healthcare system (e.g., medical or consumer health). We look for applicants that want to conduct interdisciplinary, socio-technical research. The research should be engineering/design oriented. You evaluate solutions based on societal values (e.g. safety, efficiency, quality of care).
