The Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics, and Information Systems within the Cameron School of Business at the University of North Carolina Wilmington seeks an outstanding faculty member for The John B. This is a nine-month position scheduled to begin Fall Semester 2023. This position is for an initial five-year term, and, upon review, the distinguished professor is eligible to receive an unlimited renewable five-year appointment. This Distinguished Professorship in Information Systems is a prestigious designation for a faculty member who has earned prominence for scholarly and professional achievements in information systems research. The Distinguished Professor will be responsible for scholarly teaching, research, and practice that advances the understanding of information systems. The successful candidate has the following expectations:

1.	An active and internationally recognized research record and an ability and a willingness to interact with the information systems academic profession and engage in educational and professional outreach.
2.	Evidence of a distinguished record in teaching both face-to-face and online courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
3.	Leadership activity in preparing undergraduate and graduate Information Systems students for professional careers, in enhancing the quality and standing of the information systems and related programs at UNCW, in mentoring junior faculty colleagues to enhance the Congdon School research productivity, and in working collaboratively with colleagues in the Congdon School and Cameron School of Business.
4.	Experience and success in securing grant funding.
5.	Experience and ability to engage with the business community on matters related to Information Systems.
6.	A proposed agenda for research, grant writing, teaching, engagement, and service to the discipline that will bring distinction to UNCW, the Cameron School of Business, and the Congdon School.

Minimum Requirements: A Ph.D. degree in Information Systems from an AACSB accredited Business School. This individual should also have an established program of information systems research. In addition, the candidate must be able to teach in at least two of the following areas: Database and Data Management, Systems Analysis, Software Development, IT Infrastructure, and IT Management.

In addition, the candidate is expected to focus on research in the information system area and teach both face to face and online courses at both graduate and undergraduate levels.

The Congdon School of Supply Chain, Business Analytics and Information Systems is part of UNCW's Cameron School of Business and supports the B.S. in Business Administration with concentrations in Business Analytics, Information Systems, and Supply Chain Management, the B.S. in Information Technology, and the B.S. in Cybersecurity. At the graduate level, the school supports the MBA, M.S. in Computer Science and Information Systems, and M.S. in Business Analytics.
