The Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University invites
applicants for a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in
Business Technology to begin in Fall 2023. Candidates must have interest
and capacity to conduct high quality research and potential to publish in
top-tier business journals. Interested candidates would study next
generation technology problems from an economics lens. We are particularly
interested in interdisciplinary candidates at the intersection of
economic/econometric theory and machine learning/artificial intelligence.
Applicants are expected to have a doctoral degree at the time of
appointment in Information Systems, Economics, Marketing or related fields.
Applicants with strong record in both business research and teaching who
have completed PhD in the last 5 years will also be considered for the
position. Candidates must also have potential to teach at a high level of
competency, as documented by teaching evaluations or letters of
recommendation.
The ideal candidate will play a leading role in advancing the school's
analytical approach to business, which is a long-standing differentiator of
the Tepper School's approach to business education and research. The Tepper
School of Business and Carnegie Mellon University have a strong culture of

committee will interview shortlisted candidates via Zoom interview or at
Conference on Information Systems and Technology 2022 in Indianapolis, IN.
