The Department of Information Systems and Operations Management (ISOM) at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) invites applications for a tenure-track position in Information Security at the rank of Assistant Professor with the appointment starting in Fall 2023.

The Department of ISOM has eight tenured faculty, three full-time lecturers, and several part-time lecturers. The department offers concentrations in Information Systems, Information Systems Security, and Global Supply Chain Management at the undergraduate level. The Position
This is a new position, which offers the ability to shape an invigorated IS Security program and Accounting Information System courses with research, community outreach, and curriculum development.  The position requires regular publication in peer-review information systems and accounting information systems journals, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and service.

Responsibilities
Job responsibilities include teaching in one or more of the following areas: Information Security Theory and Practice, Management of Information Security, Information Systems and Assurance and Advisory, Emerging Attestation, and other related areas. Additional responsibilities may include advising undergraduate students involved in the Information Systems Security program and assisting in the continued development of the IS Security program and the new development of IS security courses for CPA-Board ISC (Information Security and Control) Discipline. Specific course appointments will be based upon departmental needs and the applicant’s areas of expertise.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
-Applicants must have experience in teaching and working with colleagues from diverse age, socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
-A doctorate degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field. All requirements for the degree must be conferred by August 2023.
-Expertise in information assurance and security.
-Demonstrated potential for or experience in teaching and research excellence, with a commitment to student-centered instruction.
Preferred Qualifications
-An active research plan that focuses on information security and assurance and also a strong interest in teaching in these areas.
-Interest in developing and teaching accounting information systems courses, such as Information Systems and Assurance and Advisory, Emerging Attestation.
-Familiarity with the CPA-Board ISC (Information Security and Control) Discipline.
