Florida State University School of Information<https://ischool.cci.fsu.edu/> (iSchool) seeks to fill one (1) nine-month tenure-track faculty position in Information, at the Assistant Professor level. Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2022 and continue until the position is filled.
Responsibilities
We are seeking faculty colleagues with interdisciplinary, sociotechnical systems research interests. Candidates should be able to articulate a research agenda that fits within the broader research interests of the iSchool and demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a highly interdisciplinary environment. Portfolios of research and teaching could include human-computer interaction, cybersecurity, human-centered computing, user experience (UX), data management, data science, social and cultural informatics.
Successful applicants will be expected to teach at all levels, including courses in the school’s bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs; experience with teaching online, as well as face-to-face, is preferred. Faculty typically teach 2 courses per semester (fall and spring) each academic year. All faculty members are expected to advise students and to serve on School, College, and University committees.
