Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity
College of Business
The University of Alabama in Huntsville

The College of Business at The University of Alabama in Huntsville invites
applications for one or more tenure-track positions in information systems
with a primary focus on cybersecurity at the assistant professor level. We
seek applicants who welcome the challenges and rewards of serving on a
diverse and intellectually curious faculty of a growing college located in
a dynamic and supportive high-tech community.

Responsibilities: Conduct and publish high-quality scholarly research in a
collegial environment where both intra- and inter-disciplinary
collaborations are valued. Effectively teach cybersecurity and related
courses in graduate and undergraduate programs in face-to-face or online
modes as needed by the college. Participate actively in the profession,
university service, and outreach to the local community.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in information systems, cybersecurity, or a closely
related field is required. A Ph.D. from an AACSB accredited institution is
preferred. Ability to teach graduate and undergraduate business-focused
courses in cybersecurity is required. We prefer candidates who have a
strong academic background, the ability to conduct research publishable in
high quality journals, a commitment to excellence in graduate and
undergraduate business education, and the potential to expand student
interest and engagement in undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity
programs in the college. We also prefer candidates who have teaching
interests in multiple areas in information systems in addition to
cybersecurity. ABDs will be considered; however, all requirements for the
doctoral degree must be completed by August 1, 2023 to be appointed at the
rank of Assistant Professor.
Appointment date: Fall 2023

teaching effectiveness (if any), a representative sample of recent research
work, and three reference letters. Official transcripts of all college work
will be required for finalists. Review of candidates will begin

is filled.
