Dear Information Systems Society leaders,



It is my pleasure to announce Dr. Suprateek Sarker of the University of
Virginia as the next Editor-in-Chief of the journal *Information Systems
Research*. He will begin a three-year term as EiC starting January 1, 2023.
Supra holds the Rolls-Royce Commonwealth Eminent Professor of Commerce at
Virginia, and is dedicated to continuing the tradition of publishing
excellent research in ISR while broadening the authorship and audience of
this prestigious journal.



As you likely know, Dr. Alok Gupta concludes his second term as EiC at the
end of this year. I am personally indebted to Alok for his tireless work
over six years in this role. He has left the journal in a very strong
position indeed, and has been a consistent champion for the field. Very
many thanks also to Dr. Geoff Parker, who chaired the EiC search.

there will be a lot of interest in the new EiC selection.
