We seek your help to encourage your strongest Master’s students or alums to
apply for our PhD program. We are looking for highly qualified and
motivated applicants for several funded positions for Fall 2023 for our PhD
program with a concentration in Information Systems at the Muma College of
Business at the University of South Florida (USF).



Situated in the diverse and fast-growing Tampa Bay region, USF ranks among
the top 15 universities in the world for high quality IS research
productivity based on publications in top three journals of the field
(2019-2021), according to AIS Rankings. USF, a Preeminent Research
University in the State of Florida, is a high-impact global research
university. It ranks among the 50 best public universities in US and is a
leader among young universities. USF has an annual budget of $2.3 billion
and generates an annual economic impact of more than $6 billion. Over the
past decade, no university, public or private, has risen more spots than
USF in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges rankings.



We provide a generous stipend of $34,000 per year to strong candidates, and
additional funding is available for travel and research activities.
Students in our program receive the opportunity to work with faculty
members who are among the leading scholars in the world and highly visible
in the IS field for their research publications, thought leadership, and
editorial and outreach activities.



The application deadline is January 2, but we encourage early applications
by November 30. Strong early applicants can also be considered for a highly
prestigious Presidential Fellowship.
