Open position as Professor in Information Systems at Lancaster University
We are looking for a great colleague as Professor of Information Systems at Lancaster University Management School to work in a diverse and aspiring group within the Management Science Department. We have colleagues working on a diverse set of topics and theories, as well as methods, and see this diversity as a basis to expand our research, teaching and engagement. We have long tradition in diverse approaches to information systems research tracing back to the early work of Peter Checkland on SSM and systems thinking in 80s and 90s, and the influence of Lucy Suchman from our Sociology Department pioneering the use of anthropology in IS to explain human-computer/AI configurations. We offer a very collegial environment where there is space to develop new ideas and shape the strategic development of our information systems teaching and intellectual contributions through projects and publications. Please consider applying or share with your network. Several of us will be at #ICIS2022 in Copenhagen in a couple of weeks, please contact any of us for chat if you are interested: Juliana, Amjad, Ruonan, Ruilin, Mahsa, or Monideepa
