Track: IS in Education, IS Curriculum, Education and Teaching Cases (SIGED)
Mini-track: Ethical and Social issues in the IS Curriculum

DESCRIPTION:

Just as corporations are expected to produce high-quality products, observe
professional and industry standards and promote corporate interests in a
way that is professional and observant of societal norms, business schools
are expected to maintain academic standards and produce graduates who
exhibit professionalism and who are conscious of their role in society with
respect to climate change, gender equality, diversity, equity, inclusion,
and social justice. Thus, the IS curriculum must be tailored to prepare
students to engage in ethical and socially responsible ways in an
increasingly globalized society. This mini-track will address ethical and
social issues in the IS curriculum and recommend ways to incorporate them
in teaching, taking place inside and outside the classroom and in research.
