The Information Systems and Quantitative Sciences (ISQS) Area of the Rawls
College of
Business at Texas Tech University invites applications for a tenure-track
assistant or associate
professor position in information systems beginning Fall semester 2023.

Qualified applicants at the assistant level must possess a strong
commitment to excellence in
teaching. At the associate level, evidence of effective teaching in
information systems is
required. A demonstrated and ongoing commitment to serving diverse student
populations is
desired. Successful candidates at the assistant level must possess a
promising program of high
quality and interesting research. At the associate level, a demonstrated
record of publishing
impactful research in the top tier journals is expected. Candidates who
have records of
scholarship supported by extramural funding and who have the proven
capacity or clear potential
to bring externally sponsored research to Texas Tech University are
encouraged to apply. Service
to the area, college, university, and profession is expected. Candidates
must hold a doctorate in
information systems or a related field (or must have earned a doctorate by
August 2023). Salary
and benefits are competitive and may include a reduced teaching load and
summer support for at
least the first three years.

Screening of applicants begins immediately and continues until the position
is filled. Texas Tech
will not conduct formal interviews at the International Conference on
Information Systems
(ICIS), but ISQS faculty members will be available to meet informally with
candidates attending

The ISQS area provides a supportive and collegial environment for research,
teaching, and
service. ISQS faculty are productive in research, actively publish in
top-tier journals, and serve
on editorial boards of premier journals. The information systems program
ranked 30th in the UT
Dallas North American Business Rankings based on research contributions
from 2019 to 2022
for publications in *MIS Quarterly* and *Information Systems Research*. The
ISQS area offers an
IT undergraduate degree, a Master’s degree in Data Science, and a Ph.D.
degree. The area is
developing a Master’s degree in Information Systems. The college offers
undergraduate, Master
of Science (online and in-person), MBA (STEM, Professional, and Online),
and Ph.D. degrees.
Ph.D. students graduating from the ISQS area have been placed at R1 schools.

marketing research &
analytics. In addition, it offers a Ph.D. with concentrations in

tenured or tenure-track
faculty members and 52 non-tenure-track faculty members. The college has
approximately 5,000
undergraduate, 800 masters, and 60 doctoral students.
