The University of Hohenheim has over 200 years of tradition in relevant, outstanding research and teaching. It is the most attractive employer in Stuttgart, the capital of the state of Baden-Württemberg. It is in an economically strong region with a scenic appeal. According to the current Times Higher Education (THE) World University Ranking, the University of Hohenheim is one of the top 250 universities worldwide. The ranking is mainly due to its strong research performance. The advertised professorship is in the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Social Sciences, with approximately 50 professors. The faculty is one of Germany's five largest faculties of business and economics in terms of student numbers. In the area of "Business and Management" in the THE ranking for Germany, Hohenheim is in 10th place. Digital transformation is one of the guiding themes of the university and the faculty - a suitable environment with much potential for information systems researchers. I have been at Hohenheim for two years now and can say from personal experience that it was an excellent decision.
