The Department of Management, Information Systems and Entrepreneurship in the Carson College of Business at Washington State University Pullman, WA is seeking qualified candidates for one permanent tenure-track faculty position in Management Information Systems (MIS), based at our Pullman campus. We will consider candidates at the rank of associate professor.

Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in MIS or closely aligned field from a nationally or internationally recognized university by the time of hire. Six years of experience of as an Assistant Professor or equivalent. Demonstrated successful record of scholarly research, as evidenced by copies of published articles, submitted manuscripts, and working papers targeted at publication in top-tier MIS journals. Evidence of excellence in teaching and a commitment to teaching effectiveness at undergraduate and graduate levels.



Preferred qualifications: Candidates should be capable of teaching a variety of undergraduate and graduate-level MIS courses in face-to-face and online settings utilizing active learning styles. We are open to a variety of MIS research areas and methodologies that complement our current capabilities, while staying within the behavioral research traditions. We are particularly interested in scholars whose work aligns with that of existing research faculty<http://directory.business.wsu.edu/#&filter.DirectoryTable.=----Management%2C%20Information%20Systems%2C%20and%20Entrepreneurship> and who have a record of working with doctoral students. An interest in research and/or teaching that advances equity, diversity, and inclusion of historically underrepresented communities and aligns with WSU's strategic plan is especially welcome.


Duties:  The successful candidate will be required to teach four MIS courses per year (typically two per semester), conduct high quality academic research, and make rank-appropriate service contributions to the Department, College, University, and community. The candidate will be expected to participate actively in the MIS Ph.D. program.

Term, Compensation and Support: The term of appointment is a nine-month academic year, beginning on August 16, 2023. Rank is at the associate professor level. Competitive salary and benefits with excellent retirement programs. Summer support is provided.

Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship (MISE):
The MISE Department provides an exceptional work environment with highly supportive colleagues actively engaged in quality research, teaching, and service. Information Systems is a core strength of the department and is a top priority at the Carson College of Business and Washington State University. The MISE Department includes 34 faculty (across 4 campuses) with substantial plans to grow the department and its core strength in information systems.

Carson College of Business:
The Carson College of Business<https://business.wsu.edu/> (CCB) enrolls more than 2,500 undergraduate students and 1,200 online MBA and Executive MBA students combined. The Online MBA program is currently ranked 12th by Poets and Quants and 18th by U.S. News and World Report. The college has 92 full-time faculty across its campuses and 75 staff. WSU has a set goal to advance the college's commitment to diversity and multiculturalism with respect to research, teaching and community outreach, incorporating relevant programs, goals, and activities. Washington State University:
