Mini-track: Unintended Consequences of AI

We invite submissions to the Unintended Consequences of AI (SIG ODIS) mini-track at the Americas Conference on Information Systems (AMCIS) 2023 to be held in Panama, August 10-12, 2023.

Artificial intelligence (AI) applications (such as ChatGPT and Dall E2) are making a definitive impact on organizations and society. AI applications are developed with goals of increased revenue and efficiency in business processes. Yet, there have been numerous cases that have shown AI can have unintended consequences. Application of AI-technologies by organizations and government have the potential to affect (sometimes adversely) large portions of the populations, possibly containing vulnerable societal groups.

  *   Unintended consequences of AI
  * AI as a source of financial, legal, and social risks in AI applications

  * Adversarial use of AI in social media, healthcare, and crime.
  *   Auditing for AI applications
  * Implications cyber-attacks in AI applications.
