*Position Description*

The Department of Management in the Albers School of Business and Economics
at Seattle University invites applicants for a full time, renewable term
faculty position in either the Teaching or Clinical Professor series in the
fields of information systems and business analytics. The new faculty
member’s primary responsibility will be teaching courses in information
systems and business analytics in the undergraduate, masters and online
programs beginning September, 2023.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach a variety of
courses including introductory information systems, database management,
big data, and machine learning. Instruction in Python and SQL programming
is expected. The candidate will also provide service to the school and
university through committees, task forces and other avenues of academic
support.



*Compensation at a Glance:*Salary Range: $75,000-90,000

Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its
good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the
time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be
determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected
candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity
considerations, and available market information, and not based on a
candidate’s gender or any other protected status.

*Qualifications*

Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have either a master’s degree with
relevant industry experience in the above fields or a Ph.D. in business
administration, information systems, data analytics, or related field prior
to appointment and be able to produce a portfolio of scholarship. The
candidate should also have a prior record of successful teaching or the
demonstrated potential to be an effective teacher as well as demonstrate
ongoing scholarly or professional qualifications consistent with the rank
of Teaching or Clinical Professor. Rank and title will be determined
commensurate with those qualifications.

Preferred: Capability of teaching in an online environment is strongly
preferred.
