We are saddened to announce the sudden passing away of Prof. Seev Neumann, one of the founders of IS in academia in Israel. Seev helped build the first and biggest MIS program in Tel Aviv University, and was author of several popular text books that shaped the IS education for thousands of management and IT students. Later, he collaborated with the late Paul Gray to build an IS program at Claremont Graduate School. Prof. Seev Neumann supervised many graduate students who found academic positions in leading schools in Israel and around the world, as well as key positions in industry. Prof. Seev Neumann was awarded the AIS Fellowship in 2002.

Seev was also an amazing manager. He served (twice) as an exceptional dean of the faculty of management at Tel Aviv University. Later, he became President of the College of Management. Seev will be remembered for his outstanding leadership and achievements.

May he rest in peace.

On behalf of the Israeli IS community,
