Dear AISWorld community,
We are pleased to announce the *Software Engineering @Salerno Week*, an
international event which will be held on *12-15 June, 2023 *within the
University Campus located in Fisciano (close to Salerno). The SE week is
organized by the Software Engineering (SeSa) Research Group. Salerno is
located in Southern Italy (about 50 Km far from Naples) and it is very
close to some of the most beautiful and historical places of Italy, such as
the Amalfi Coast, Capri, Pompei, and Paestum.
The Software Engineering @Salerno Week will feature three international
events:
- The *15th edition of the Seminar Series on Advanced Techniques & Tools
for Software Evolution* (SATToSE, June 12-14, 2023 -
http://sattose.org/2023). SATToSE seeks work in progress papers,
publication summaries, and technology showdown demonstrations on themes
connected to software visualization techniques, tools for co-evolving
various software artifacts, their consistency management, runtime
adaptability, and context awareness, as well as empirical results about
software evolution. The Call for Papers is available on the SATToSE 2023
website.
- The *16th edition of the International Summer School on Software
Engineering *(ISSSE, June 13-15, 2023 -
https://sesalabunisa.github.io/ISSSE-2023/). The school attracts Ph.D.
students and young researchers from all around the world and aims at
providing a forum to let these students get in touch with top Software
Engineering scholars and the research they pursue. Ph.D. students will have
the chance to showcase their research and receive feedback on their ongoing
work. Ph.D. students will have the chance to make an exam and get 3
ETCS, if required by their universities. More information about the school
are available on the ISSSE 2023 website.
- The *1st edition of the Workshop on Engineering Machined
Learning-Intensive IoT Systems *(EMELIOT). This is a thematic workshop
on topics connected to the development, design, testing, maintenance, and
evolution of complex IoT systems enabled by machine learning algorithms.
EMELIOT seeks to foster discussion on the next advances and challenges for
the software engineering community with respect to the engineering aspects
of machine learning-intensive IoT systems. More information about the
workshop are available on the ISSSE 2023 website.
The three events will have a blended program and will feature keynotes of
top-tier software engineering researchers. We are delighted to release our
lineup of speakers:
- Luciano Baresi, Politecnico di Milano (Italy)
- Massimiliano Di Penta (University of Sannio, Italy)
- Mark Harman (Meta & University College London, United Kingdom)
- Helena Holmstrom Olsson (Malmo University, Sweden)
- Alexander Serebrenik (Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands)
- Mairieli Wessel (Radboud University, The Netherlands)
The registration deadline is fixed on *May 5, 2023*. The school is intended
to be an *in-person event*, yet there will be a remote component to allow
the participation of students who cannot attend the SE week physically.
The registration fees are the following:
* Full-week ticket (SATTOSE + ISSSE + EMELIOT) - 4 days - 350€
* Only-SATTOSE ticket - 3 days - 300€
* Only-ISSSE ticket - 3 days - 300€
* Remote Full-week ticket (SATTOSE + ISSSE + EMELIOT) - 4 days - 90€
