*Lecturer Position in Information Systems and Analytics*

The Department of Operations and Information Management (OIM) in the
Wisconsin School of Business invites applications for a non-tenure track
lecturer position in the area of information systems and analytics, to
start in August 2023 and to teach 18 credits in information systems, data
technologies, and/or related topics. The Wisconsin School of Business
offers a collegial working environment and excellent campus resources. The
OIM Department comprises a vibrant faculty with broad research and teaching
interests. We seek outstanding candidates who would complement these
interests with high-quality teaching in student-centered and collaborative
learning environments. We offer three undergraduate majors (in Information
Systems, in Operations and Technology Management, and in Supply Chain
Management), and we have a strong presence in both the MS in Business
Analytics program as well as the MBA program. We are also closely
affiliated with the Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management
and the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management, both of which are
founded on the principles of cross-functional perspectives and industry
engagement.



The lecturer is responsible for course work preparation in alignment with
learning outcomes; original content creation; classroom instruction;
holding office hours; and exam preparation, administration, and grading
consistent with the policies of the WSB.  In some cases, the lecturer will
be part of a team of lecturers teaching the same course. In this context,
collaboration with colleagues and team participation is critical.



Responsibilities:

- Facilitates classroom, online and/or laboratory instruction for one or
more courses, including assessment of student performance.

-  Develops instructional design and curriculum relevant to a course of
instruction.

-  Serves as an initial point of contact for students as it relates to
specific course or series content and expectations.

*Education:*

Master's degree or higher in information systems or related field.



*Preferred Qualifications:*

- PhD (granted or near completion) in information systems or related field.

- Candidates with a strong commitment to teaching excellence at
undergraduate and master's levels.

- Candidates with a record of high-quality instruction in a
student-centered environment.

- Candidates with an enthusiasm for collaborative learning environments.

- Candidates with an interest in educational technologies and innovation.
