Foundation for Liberal and Management Education (FLAME) University, Pune

Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology, Public
Policy, Economics, Philosophy, Literary & Cultural Studies, Environmental
Sciences, and Humanities.

The school of computing and data sciences has been established to be one of
the leading centres of education and research in computing technologies and
applied mathematics. It aims to enable an environment for our faculty to
pursue interdisciplinary and cutting-edge research in this field. Our
faculty come from diverse industry and academic backgrounds ranging from
artificial intelligence, computer vision, mathematics, statistics,
geoinformatics, bioinformatics, business, etc., and are united by their

FLAME University invites applications from qualified and highly
research-active candidates (Indian nationals including Persons of Indian
Origins, Overseas Citizens of India, and foreign nationals) for faculty
positions at the level of Assistant Professor / Associate Professor /
Professor.

While we welcome applicants from any area of computer science, we are
particularly interested in applicants with an expertise in areas such as:

   - *Theoretical Computer Science*

   - *Distributed Systems*
   - *Software engineering*
   - *Programming languages*

Faculty responsibilities include but are not limited to teaching, advising
students, participating in faculty colloquia, and academic administration.

*Qualifications*

As part of a sustained, multiyear, strategic growth initiative, the Faculty
seeks applications for MULTIPLE open-rank faculty positions (Assistant /
Associate / Full) with a targeted start date of July 2023. The candidate
should have relevant teaching/research/professional experience (excluding
the duration of the tenure of Ph.D.)  in top tier organizations /
institutes like IIIT's, IITs, IISc, IISERs, or at an equivalent level in
any other Indian/Foreign Universities/ Institutions/Industries of
comparable level. The candidate should have demonstrated research ability
with an excellent record of publications in reputed journals and
conferences and must have supervised  Ph.D. students. Candidates should
also have demonstrated excellent teaching abilities at higher educational
institutions. It is desirable that the candidate has carried out laboratory
development/course development/ technology development/ innovative work and
has generated sufficient funding for research. The criteria of supervision
of Ph.D. students and teaching at higher educational institutions may be
relaxed for candidates who have joined from industry.
