The Department of Management Science and Information Systems (MSIS) in the College of Management at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor, starting September 1, 2023.
Prior to the date of appointment, candidates must have a doctorate degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a closely related field. The successful candidate should demonstrate the potential to conduct research and publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals. The candidate should also have a track record of effective teaching in graduate and/or undergraduate courses.
Responsibilities of the position include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in areas including data mining, machine learning, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence. Prior industry experience is a plus. This position will have a major role in our bachelor and graduate programs. The candidate is also expected to interact effectively with a culturally diverse population of students and colleagues.
