Hi,
We are excited to invite you to a workshop on Energy Citizenship: Exploring energy citizenship at a community level which is part of the international conference of Communities and Technologies, taking place this year in Lahti, Finland, and hosted by LUT. This workshop will be held on 29 May 2023 at LUT University, Mukkulankatu 19, 15210 Lahti, Finland, and will bring together researchers, academics, and practitioners interested in exploring the mechanisms through which energy citizenship manifests at the community level and the barriers and enablers that impact it.
Energy citizenship is not just an individual matter, but a collective action that can be influenced by various factors at local, national, and international levels, such as policies, access to resources, socio-demographic factors, and more. This workshop aims to provide a platform for participants to discuss and collaborate on topics related to energy citizenship, and gain new insights into energy transition, including research topics, technologies, challenges, and individual roles in the energy transition.
By participating in this workshop, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with leading researchers and academics from diverse backgrounds, engage in animated and rich conversations, and gain access to cutting-edge research and new research topics. You will also learn about community-based energy initiatives, and how organizations can utilize the understanding of energy citizenship to improve their practices and create value in the design of new smart products and services.
The first step participants need to do is to either register for the C&T Conference or for workshop participation. The next step participants need to do is to fill out the form to register for this workshop.
