In this e-mail, we provide important information on the upcoming retreat.
    * Conference Program
The NeuroIS Retreat is a leading academic conference for presenting research and development projects at the nexus of IS and neurobiology. This annual conference promotes the development of the NeuroIS field with activities primarily delivered by and for academics, though works often have a professional orientation. This year the NeuroIS Retreat celebrates its 15th anniversary and will take place in Vienna, Austria on May 30 – June 1.     * Conference Highlights
We are happy to announce the 2023 keynote presentation entitled "Observing the “Brain at Work” in Everyday Life using Optical Brain Imaging: Challenges and Opportunities for NeuroIS" is given by Hasan Ayaz, associate professor at Drexel University, USA. You can find more information about the keynote here http://www.neurois.org/keynote/. Moreover, Thorsten O. Zander, professor for neuroadaptive human-computer interaction at the Brandenburg University of Technology in Cottbus, Germany, gives a hot topic talk entitled "Embracing Neuroadaptive Technologies: Shaping the Future of Human-Computer Interaction".     * Conference Proceedings
This year, a total of 32 research papers were accepted for presentation at the conference. You can find a preprint of the proceedings here http://www.neurois.org/proceedings-of-the-neurois-retreat-2023/.
    * Registration Deadline
For organizational reasons, the online registration for the NeuroIS Retreat 2023 will close on May 28. In case that someone wants to register after this deadline, please contact us at info at NeuroIS.org mailto:info at NeuroIS.org.
    * Limited Guest Registration for Evening Events
You can register guests (friends, spouses, etc.) for the two evening events:
   1. The first evening event (May 30) will take place in the conference hotel and will be the welcome reception with dinner.
   2. The second evening event (May 31) will take place as dinner at “Zur Alten Kaisermühle”, Fischerstrand 21A, 1220 Vienna. Bus transfer from and to the conference hotel is organized (for details, please see the program http://www.neurois.org/program/).
The guest fee for each evening event is € 100. Note that both evening events are included in the conference fee for retreat participants! Each guest, however, needs a separate account in the NeuroIS Retreat 2023 ConfTool https://www.conftool.net/neuroisretreat2023/index.php to register. Please note that there is only a limited number of guest tickets, first come - first serve.
