Call for Editor - European Journal of Information Systems - A journal of The Operational Research Society

***About the role***



The OR Society is looking to recruit a new Editor for the European Journal of Information Systems (EJIS), who will work in collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief. The position of Editor and Editor-in-Chief are currently held by Kieran Conboy (University of Galway) and Michael Myers (University of Auckland) respectively.

​The appointment of the Editor is for an initial term of three years, potentially renewable for additional terms. EJIS operates a model whereby the Editor assumes the role of Editor-in-Chief when the Editor-in-Chief comes to the end of their term, which will typically be after three years.



The Editor and Editor-in-Chief are supported by an editorial team of 18 Senior Editors and 40 Associate Editors, as well as a Managing Editor and Editorial Office, who all play a role in the peer review process for EJIS.



As EJIS is an official journal of The OR Society, the appointed Editor will be required to become a member of the Society, if they are not already. An honorarium is paid to the editor.





***About the candidate***



The Editor should be a thought-leader, and someone deeply engaged within the IS community. The Editor should have a strong understanding of the IS journal ecosystem and have a vision for the development of the journal and an understanding of the challenges and needs of editors and learned societies.



We are keen to continue developing diversity within the EJIS community and would welcome applications from anyone with the requisite knowledge and experience. Diverse representation on our Editorial Board is important to ensure we include a range of opinions and viewpoints in our decision-making.
