CALL FOR PAPERS

Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS-57) January 3-6, 2024, Hawaiian Village, Waikiki, Hawaii, USA https://hicss.hawaii.edu<https://hicss.hawaii.edu/>

MINI-TRACK: Machine Learning and AI: Cybersecurity and Threat Hunting<https://hicss.hawaii.edu/tracks-57/software-technology/#machine-learning-and-ai-cybersecurity-and-threat-hunting-minitrack>

DESCRIPTION

The current approach to cybersecurity has been mostly either preventive or reactive, but there is increasing interest in hybrid approaches that combine the strengths of both methods. Machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) can be useful in proactive approaches to cybersecurity, particularly in the area of cyber threat hunting. However, the amount of data that needs to be analyzed makes this process challenging.

This minitrack aims to provide insights into proactive approaches to cybersecurity using ML and AI. We welcome papers that contribute to our understanding of current uses of ML and AI in cybersecurity, with a specific focus on proactive approaches. Theoretical, empirical, experimental, methodological, and practice-based papers are welcome.

Selected papers will be provided with a fast track opportunity to the a Special Issue<https://resource-cms.springernature.com/springer-cms/rest/v1/content/25193026/data/v1> of the Information Systems Frontiers<https://www.springer.com/journal/10796/> journal published by Springer.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  *   Threat Hunting
  *   Ethical Hacking
