I am happy to share the news that Michelle Carter will be joining me as
co-EIC of the AIS Transactions on Replication Research effective June 1,
2023. Michelle is a professor at the University of Manchester's Alliance
Manchester Business School and is most well-known for her research on IT
Identity. She serves on the editorial boards of Information Systems Research
and the Journal of the Association for Information Systems. Michelle is an
active member of the AIS: she is a past president of the AIS Special
Interest Group on Social Inclusion and previously chaired the AIS committee
on diversity and inclusion. She AIS Vice President for Special Interest
Groups and Colleges.

I also want to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing co-EIC, Alan
Dennis, for his many years of service to the journal. Alan and Joe Valacich
had a vision for the journal, as laid out in their manifesto. We have been
excited to see that vision come to life and provide an avenue for authors to
contribute to science through publication of their replication work. The
journal has been an excellent outlet for a number of different authors.
Since its inception, we have published 73 papers from 187 authors at 109
institutions (37 of which are outside the US). We have also published 3 open
data supplements, for a total of 76 papers in the AIS eLibrary. We also had
an excellent response to the replication special project, which is available
from the MIS Quarterly website (https://misq.umn.edu/misq/downloads/)
(#44.3.02; Dennis, A., Brown, S.A., Wells, T., and Rai, A. "Editor's
Comments: Replication Crisis or Replication Reassurance: Results of the IS
Replication Project," MIS Quarterly, 2020, Vol. 44(3), pp. iii-vii).

Michelle and I look forward to seeing your replication work submitted to
AIS-TRR.

Best,

Sue.
