The Department of Operations and Information Management (OIM) in the
Wisconsin School of Business, invites applications for a tenured faculty
position in the area of information systems and analytics, to start in
August 2024. The OIM department comprises a vibrant, research-active
faculty with broad research and teaching interests. We seek outstanding
candidates who would complement these interests with high-quality research
and teaching and provide strategic leadership. We offer a PhD program,
multiple MBA specializations, an MS degree in Supply Chain Management, and
three undergraduate majors (in Information Systems, in Operations and
Technology Management, and in Supply Chain Management). We also have a
strong presence in the MS in Business Analytics program as well as in both
the Executive and Professional MBA programs. The OIM department is closely
affiliated with the Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management
and the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management, both of which are
founded on the principles of cross-functional perspectives and industry
engagement. We have several initiatives related to the incorporation of
state-of-the-art information systems principles and methods into business
analytics curricula. We are looking for a faculty member to support these
efforts and to provide strategic leadership.

– Create and maintain a strong program of research.
– Provide classroom and individual instruction for undergraduate and
graduate degree-seeking students.
– Contribute to the intellectual and academic life of the department,
school, and university, as appropriate.

PhD in Information Systems or related field required by start date.

Candidates will have a demonstrated program of high-quality research with
publications in top tier journals, demonstrated evidence of excellence in
teaching, and academic credentials to qualify for a tenured appointment at
UW-Madison.
